Restored, four-story building off Old Market Square. Furnishings and interior design reminiscent of an upper class style found on Earth from the mid-1850’s to early 1900’s: The furniture – rich, warm, medium-stained wood. Simple but elegant and functional. Lamps with green glass, brass bodies. Some candles, some magical lights. On the windows – gauzy under-curtains and heavy, simple but elegant drapes. Leather sofas and chairs. Art – landscapes and floral paintings. Fresh cut flowers, some potted plants. Lots of books and some little curious – tea cups and saucers, little, fine glassware and works of pewter and china. Nothing too expensive. Clocks – brass and fine, elegant ones of wood and glass.
Extensive library, laboratory/workshop, small armory, and safe room/quiet room for Mathew and his cousins – typically using the magically shielded room to discuss private matters.
